It is truly amazing to think one of the world’s greatest theatre’s and most visited is on our doorstep, The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s literally just under thirty minutes away so why not have a day out in Stratford finishing with a night at the theatre.
Shakespeare has as much appeal as ever, with the RSC keeping pace with the times, putting on some stunning contemporary productions.

Sir John Falstaff plans to hustle his way to comfortable retirement by seducing the wives of two wealthy men. But it’s the women of Windsor who pull the strings in this story. Rumour, gossip and scandal take centre stage in this Blanche McIntyre directed production. 5 June – 7 September 2024
Before Bridgerton there was Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The School for Scandal, a biting comedy of manners in five acts. With sky-high hair and period flair, this story of 18th Century high-society is directed by Tinuke Craig. 2 July – 6 September 2024
The ultimate tale of forbidden love, Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece is told through dance as the Northern Ballet visit the RSC for the first time. One of Northern Ballet’s most beloved and critically acclaimed productions. 19 – 28 September 2024

The Holloway Garden Theatre will return to Stratford-upon-Avon with a new staging of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It directed by Brendan O’Hea. 18 July – 1 September.
This will be accompanied by a series of family-friendly workshops and events as well as a new re-interpretation of The Two Gentlemen of Verona by young people aged 12-18 from our talent development pipeline Next Generation Act. 22 – 24 August
